What English level is recommended?
The brochure recommends Intermediate B1+ (B1 and above). We discuss lower levels individually, considering readiness, motivation and support needs. We can suggest a preparation plan. Contact NLE to confirm suitability for the participant’s age.
What happens if a visa is refused?
The paid tour amount is refunded minus an administration fee of 5% of the full contractual tour price. Government visa fees are separate and are not refunded by NLE. Booking, cancellation and refund terms are set out in the contract.
Can I get a discount with an existing US visa?
A valid US tourist visa gives an additional USD 500 discount, including on the early price: USD 6,250 early or USD 7,000 standard. Visa validity is checked at enrolment; the adjusted payment schedule is agreed individually.
How does visa preparation work?
NLE helps with the questionnaire, documents, supporting letters and program information. Applications are planned for March–April 2027, with preparation starting earlier. US consular authorities decide on visas; approval is not guaranteed. Check current government fees through the official visa service.
Can parents join the trip?
Parents may join all or part of the trip. Staying with the group depends on space; the team can help explore nearby accommodation. A parent’s price is calculated individually, while the child’s usual terms apply. An adult without a visa needs a separate consultation.
Are the itinerary and university visits final?
This is a working itinerary. Timing, accommodation, activities and their order may change because of weather, transport, access or the group’s needs. Campus visits are excursions or introductions with the NLE team, subject to access; official university-led tours are not guaranteed. The tour leader makes operational decisions for the group’s safety and interests.
